This web site has been aligned to each Chicago Math lesson. Please use Unit 8 and try to do one activity for each lesson as a guide to the games you play on

Math Review

Spelling/Vocabulary
Complete one assignment of sentences using spelling words from Unit 24 on Spelling City. Complete one assignment of a paragraphs from Unit 24 on Spelling City. The above assignments are due: Friday, March 30. Each week you must first go to Spelling City and do the following:
  • After you enter your level, choose the "TEACH ME" option. Click on the arrows to go through your list and hear a sentence for each word.
  • When you have finished listening to the sentences, select "PLAY A GAME".
  • Please play games a number of times.
  • You may take the test at home as many times as you like . Check Homework due dates for date of test.
  • You will take the test in school on Friday and that date will count for your grade.

Vocabulary Reinforcement:
1. Write definitions for each word
2. Do a word sort. Come up with as many different ways to sort the words as possible
3. Write one sentence for each word
4. Write a poem using at least six of your words
5. Write a story using all of your words
6. Make a word search or crossword puzzle using http://puzzlemaker.discoveryeducation.com/ Be sure to complete each puzzle with the answers

Vocabulary Reinforcement We will continue the program in school. I would suggest that you work on Book 4 Lesson 10 and play the games 5 times a week.
